The Word of God is taught in Biblically-based Christian Education programs

Sunday School for children is provided during the worship hour.  Children attend the beginning of the worship service, which begins at 9:30am, and then leave around 9:45am for a specific lesson designed uniquely for them.  The focus is teaching the Bible on their level, leading them to grow in self-understanding as Christians and to put faith in action.

Adult Bible Study, led by Pastor Paul, meets Sunday mornings 9:30-10:30am in the Conference Room prior to the Sunday worship service.  Currently, a 5-week course titled The Bible’s big story: our story is being presented.  The course explains, through a comprehensive timeline chart, the themes of the whole Bible and places the Bible’s people and stories into world history.  It helps readers to integrate the various stories of the Bible in such a way that they will see the Bible’s overarching story and how these themes reach their culmination in the person of Jesus Christ.  If you have ever wanted to know and/or understand the big picture in the Bible, this course is for you.  The course runs through the end of August.

The Women’s Fellowship and Bible Study meets the first Thursday of each month, September-June, from 9:30-11:00am, in the Church Parlor.  Their purpose is to nurture faith through prayer and Bible study.

They also support several local and worldwide missions including (locally): Pathways of Hope, National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), St. Andrew’s Kitchen, and Women’s Transitional Living Center; and worldwide missions through the following Presbytery-sponsored offerings: Fellowship of the least coin, Thanks offering, Birthday offering, Special giving.
